Promote DiversCity in Law

Our annual event will be taking place on the 5 December at the office of  Baker & McKenzie LLP. This is the sixth year we have run this initiative and we now have an amazing 16 City law firms participating. To help us reach as many people as we can please help us promote the event. You can do that over twitter, facebook, giving out flyer or putting up our poster.

The event will consist of an afternoon and evening of seminars and networking opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students interested in a career as a lawyer in the City. The event is organised by a group of 16 City law firms, and includes talks from successful LGBT City lawyers and careers skills workshops (and what “the City” is”!).

It will be a great opportunity for students to talk to representatives from some of the top firms about what it’s like to be out in the City and find out more about the graduate recruitment process.

We aim to make this event as inclusive as possible. To do that we will cover reasonable travel costs so please apply when applications open on the 1 September 2016 if you want to find out how to pursue a career in law.

Here are a few things previous attendees have said about the DiversCity in Law initiative:

“As an LGBT individual seeking to enter the legal profession, I found the DiversCity event to be hugely educational, reassuring and a fantastic opportunity to network with inspirational professionals.” (DiversCIty attendee, 2015)

“An excellent insight and experience to working in the City as an LGBT individual. Not to be missed!” (DiversCity attendee, 2015)
