You’re an LGBTQ+ undergrad or postgrad student, and you want to pursue a legal career in the City. Come to us. DiversCity in Law is an award-winning, annual event (now in its eleventh year) where LGBTQ+ students can find out all about legal careers, and get advice from those already in the sector. Our aim? To help students feel more confident about applying to top law firms and then supporting them on their journey. That’s why our free, virtual event is jam-packed with all sorts of useful sessions, workshops and panel discussions – each one designed to shatter any misconceptions and open up the world of City law.
There’s a lot to look forward to. At DiversCity in Law in 2021, you’ll hear virtually from LGBTQ+ law professionals working at high-profile City firms and learn about their personal stories. It’s your chance to ask questions and get honest, genuine answers from those in the know – hopefully dispelling any myths or concerns along the way. This is also about soaking up plenty of practical advice too: things like what to expect during the application process and how to prepare for it. Not only that, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded individuals, so it’s the perfect opportunity to grow your own network and make invaluable connections.
DiversCity in Law doesn’t stop there. After the event itself, you’ll have the chance to apply for our mentoring scheme – which will connect you with someone from one of the 18 firms who participated in the event.
We could go on and on about why the DiversCity in Law event is something not to be missed. But don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what previous attendees had to say:
